Disc Golf is My Therapy

Playing disc golf is one of the best ways to relieve stress and focus on the present moment. It requires physical movement- lots of movement. Moreover, being outdoors and surrounded by nature while playing disc golf allows you to breathe fresh air, soak up Vitamin D, and feel the sunshine on your skin.
Disc golf is also an excellent way to sharpen mental skills such as concentration, focus, and decision-making. It takes strategic planning to navigate the course and overcome obstacles, making it a great exercise for the mind. It provides you with a healthy distraction from everyday life while creating opportunities to develop problem-solving skills in a fun way.
The most important part of disc golf is how it helps to strengthen my relationship with God and the people I'm playing with. Have you ever gone on a prayer walk? I often like to go out on the course and play by myself. This allows me to have a prayer round. I take the time to pray while I'm walking about the course thanking God for all of the beautiful things he has put in my path. Playing disc golf can also be a social activity. It’s always fun to play a round with friends and family, share laughs, and create long-lasting memories together. I even enjoy showing up to a disc golf course and finding someone new to talk to and share a round with.
To sum up, disc golf is an excellent way to unwind, get some exercise, enjoy the God's creation, and boost mental performance. I would highly recommend giving it a try if you haven’t already.
